Choosing a House System - Information Special

A fair number of customers ask us which house system (among the nine we offer) they "should" use, or which one is "the best." If we had a quick, easy answer to that question, it would resolve a large area of astrological dispute. This information special gives a quick overview.

Some systems are chosen for astronomical reasons; the astrologer feels that one system is a more logical way to divide up the space around Earth, or the astrologer feels one system or another is less distorted in the far north, etc. Some systems are chosen for interpretive reasons. Most astrologers feel that the system they use works the best for them for what they are seeking. But many of them will concede that other house systems do work, just not as well (in each astrologer's opinion).
